The Comet Handwound
The Comet takes its name from the DH106 Comet, the world’s first commercial jetliner that redefined air travel with its sleek, modern form. Drawing inspiration from the pilot’s and sector dial watches of the 50s, it blends the functionality of classic aviation timepieces with innovative materials. At only 7.6mm in thickness, its ultra slim profile wears effortlessly while showcasing the fully reworked Swiss ETA/Peseux 7001 caliber within.

A Juxtaposition of Old and New
At the core of the Comet lies the handwound ETA/Peseux 7001, a svelte movement that has been in service since the 1970s. While rooted in tradition, this caliber has been reworked and modernized for the Comet, featuring:
- Completely redesigned bridges with a modern aesthetic
- PVD Dark gunmetal plates paired with grey sandblasted bridges create layered depth
- Exposed gear trains for visual intrigue
- Blued screws and guilloché barrel
Design & Aesthetic
The Comet pairs the clean legibility of a pilot’s watch with sector dials that showcase a unique mix of materials. From mother-of-pearl and meteorite to forged carbon with tiger eye, and even a fragment of a P-51 Mustang. Its bracelet features a flat, multi-link design that combines flexibility and a mixture of brushed and polished finishes, ensuring comfort and a brilliant play on light.
A limited edition in Tantalum brings added heft with its unique grey tones, complemented by the shimmer of a guilloché crystallised titanium dial. Tantalum is a notoriously hard material to work with, and achieving these polished lug edges took specialised tools.
Despite these multiple materials, the case measures an ultrathin 7.6mm in thickness, giving the Comet a wrist presence that is both wearable and distinctive.
