The La Joux Perret 'Engine'
Inside the heart of the Vitesse beats the L100 Automatic Chronograph movement. This movement is made by La Joux Perret, a prestigious Swiss watch movement company situated within La Chaux-de-Fonds. They are known for producing high end complications such as tourbillons used in the Mirage, split seconds, grande dates, and even jumping seconds hands complications.
The L100 movement is based off the venerable Valjoux 7750 with a few crucial updates. The most noticable upgrade is the blued column wheel which offers smoother activation of the pushers. The L100 also features a bi-directional winding system, which eliminates the loud spinning rotors of the 7750 movement. Finally, the power reserve has also been upgraded from 44 to 68 hours. We have also customised the rotor for the Vitesse, taking inspiration from vintage wheel designs.
